Freedom That Electrifies
Book your e.MAS 5 test drive today — mudah, pantas & tanpa stress.
The e.MAS 5 is a five-seat hatchback built on a dedicated EV platform — which is why it packs a proper 375-litre boot and a 70-litre frunk into a body only 4,135 mm long. Easy to park in KL, big enough for the weekly Tesco run.
Purpose-built for electric — which is how a 4,135 mm body fits a 375-litre boot (1,320 litres folded) plus a 70-litre frunk with pneumatic rods.
Aerodynamic alloy wheels and flush-fitting handles cut drag and give the car its clean, modern silhouette.
Doors open wider than the class norm, which matters far more than it sounds when you are fitting a child seat in a tight car park.
Contrast roof and LED headlamps are Premium-variant items; the Prime runs a single-tone roof and halogen headlamps.
Six airbags as standard plus a radar and camera driver-assist suite — safety kit that used to be reserved for cars costing twice as much.
Front, front-side and full-length side curtain airbags fitted as standard on Prime and Premium.
100 km/h to a standstill in 36.9 metres, inside a cage body structure.
ESC, ABS, EBD, brake assist, G-Traction Control, hill hold, hill descent control and TPMS on every car.
Adaptive cruise, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition.
Blind spot detection, lane change warning, rear cross traffic alert, rear collision and door opening warning.
The Prime gets rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera; the full surround view is Premium-exclusive.
Two-tone leatherette, a crystal gear selector and a flat EV floor — the e.MAS 5 cabin feels a segment above its price.
A dual-cowl dashboard built around two screens, with the kind of quiet cabin only an EV gives you in this price bracket.
Best-in-class screen running the ATLAS Auto Operating System, paired with an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster.
Voice control in both English and Bahasa Melayu — call up over 90% of chargers in Malaysia without touching the screen.
Standard on both variants. Run a projector, kettle or camping lights straight off the car's battery.
Exclusive in its class. Real-time charger availability built into the navigation, plus the PROTON e.MAS app for remote control and scheduled charging.
With 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, an automotive-grade chip, and five years of unlimited internet data included.
Two variants, one body. The RM13,000 difference buys a bigger battery, more power and 100 km more range — the single most important decision you will make on this car.
Prices are on-the-road without insurance, Peninsular Malaysia. The RM3,000 rebate has been extended more than once rather than made permanent — confirm it is still live on the day you book.
Proton bundles the awkward parts of EV ownership into the purchase. Effective from 17 May 2026.
Complimentary 7 kW home charger. This is the item that matters most — a wallbox is normally the first out-of-pocket cost after delivery.
Complimentary 3-pin portable charger for topping up at the office, a relative’s house or anywhere without a wallbox.
5 years of unlimited internet data for the connected features, live charging map and PROTON e.MAS app.
RM1,000 trade-in subsidy via CARSOME on selected Proton models (X & S Series, Saga, Exora, Persona, Iriz) and selected other brands. Unlisted models get RM500. CARSOME determines eligibility and valuation.
5-year financing at 1.93% via selected panel banks ran until 30 June 2026 and has now closed. Ask us what rates the panel banks are quoting this month — they change often.
Official Proton figures, e-brochure version May 2026. Body 4,135 × 1,805 × 1,580 mm, 11-in-1 integrated motor, rear-wheel drive, 4.95 m turning radius.

Instalment estimates assume a 9-year tenure at prevailing hire-purchase rates and vary with your approved rate and down payment.
We sell these cars, so here is the version most brochures leave out.
A landed home or a parking bay where a wallbox can be installed turns the e.MAS 5 into the cheapest car you have ever run.
A Klang Valley commute plus weekend errands fits comfortably inside either battery, with charging once or twice a week.
Proton outlets exist in Kuantan and Kota Bharu, not just KL. For many buyers that matters more than the spec sheet.
Public charging in Malaysia is improving but is still a compromise as your only method. Sort out charging access first.
225 km rated becomes closer to 180 km at 110 km/h with the aircon working — and with no adaptive cruise, long drives are more tiring too.
375 litres is honest hatchback space, not SUV space. If you need more, look at the e.MAS 7 instead.
CKD production began in June 2026 at Proton's RM82 million EV plant, replacing the earlier fully imported units from China.
No exterior or interior differences between CBU and CKD cars. Same dual-cowl dashboard, same screens, same battery.
Unlike the e.MAS 7, which got a price cut with local assembly, e.MAS 5 pricing stayed exactly where it was.
Proton has committed a further RM37 million to lift plant capacity from 20,000 to 42,000 units a year.
Six body colours and two interior moods. Jade Green, Marble Cream and Quartz Rose are the ones people stop and look at.

Your interior choice is the one that constrains everything else — decide this before you pick a body colour.
A lounge-style cabin with more room than the class norm. The 70-litre frunk swallows charging cables so they never touch your groceries, and Vehicle-to-Load turns the car into a power station for a campsite or an outdoor movie night.
Honest hatchback space with the seats up, small-van space with them down.
Exclusive in its class. Keeps charging cables out of the main boot.
Plus 20 litres under the console — both class-leading.
Small things that decide whether back-seat passengers enjoy a long drive.
The questions our sales advisors are asked every single day.
The e.MAS 5 Prime is RM59,800 and the Premium is RM72,800, on-the-road without insurance. With Proton's RM3,000 rebate those become RM56,800 and RM69,800. The rebate has been extended several times rather than made permanent, so confirm it is still active on the day you book.
Rated range is 225 km for the Prime and 325 km for the Premium under WLTP, or 285 km and 395 km under the older NEDC cycle. WLTP is the more realistic of the two. On Malaysian highways at 110 km/h with the air-conditioning working, plan for roughly 80 to 85 percent of the WLTP figure. City driving with regenerative braking often beats it.
Yes. CKD production began at Proton's EV plant in Tanjung Malim, Perak in June 2026, replacing the earlier fully imported units from China. There are no specification or pricing changes between CBU and CKD cars.
On a 6.6 kW home AC wallbox, a full 10 to 100 percent charge takes 4.3 hours on the Prime and 5.9 hours on the Premium. On DC fast charging both variants go from 30 to 80 percent in 21 minutes, with the Prime drawing up to 53 kW and the Premium up to 71 kW.
The Premium suits most buyers, and the RM13,000 gap buys more than range. You get a 40.16 kWh battery instead of 30.12 kWh, 325 km instead of 225 km, 85 kW instead of 58 kW, plus LED headlamps instead of halogen, the full ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera, powered tailgate, dual-tone roof and six speakers instead of four. The Prime has no driver assistance systems at all. Choose it only for short urban trips where upfront price is the deciding factor.
Malaysian EV road tax is calculated on motor output, and both e.MAS 5 variants sit at the low end of the scale, so the annual figure is nominal compared with a petrol car of similar price. Verify the current amount with JPJ, as the EV road tax structure has been revised before.
The e.MAS 5 carries a 6-year unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty, an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the high-voltage battery and components, and 5 years of unlimited internet data. Ask our advisor to show you the current warranty booklet in writing before you sign.
Yes. Test drives at our authorised Proton outlet are free and carry no obligation. Bring your driving licence, and ask for a route that includes a stretch of highway rather than a lap of the showroom carpark.
The Power Pack bundles a complimentary 7 kW home charger, a complimentary 3-pin portable charger, and 5 years of unlimited internet data. A RM1,000 CARSOME trade-in subsidy runs until 31 December 2026 on selected models, with RM500 for unlisted models. The 1.93% five-year financing offer ran until 30 June 2026 and has now ended. Power Pack pricing has been effective since 17 May 2026, and campaign terms change, so confirm what applies on your booking date.
Yes. A 7 kW home charger is included under the Power Home component of the Power Pack, along with a 3-pin portable charger. Installation arrangements and any electrical upgrade work at your property are separate, so ask us to walk you through what your home needs before delivery.
Only the Premium variant. It carries adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, blind spot detection, lane change warning, rear cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, door opening warning and front vehicle departure alert. The Prime has rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera but no ADAS. Both variants get six airbags, ESC, ABS, EBD, traction control, hill hold and hill descent control.
Six exterior colours: Jade Green, Marble Cream, Quartz Rose, Moonstone White, Graphite Silver and Slate Grey. Two interiors: Flint Grey on all colours and both variants, and Alabaster White which is Premium-only and restricted to Jade Green, Marble Cream and Quartz Rose.
Yes, on both Prime and Premium. V2L lets you run external appliances such as lights, a kettle or a projector directly off the car's battery, which is why the e.MAS 5 works well for camping and outdoor events.
The e.MAS 5 is a compact hatchback and the e.MAS 7 is a family SUV with more range, more space and more equipment at a higher price. If you regularly carry five adults and luggage or drive between states, the e.MAS 7 is the better fit.
Spec sheets will not tell you whether 79 PS is enough for your commute. Twenty minutes behind the wheel will. Send us a WhatsApp and our authorised Proton sales advisor will arrange a slot, usually within 24 hours.
Ask for the highway loop, not the showroom carpark circuit. The rear-wheel-drive layout feels very different above 80 km/h.
No forms, no waiting. Message our sales advisor and get a reply on your phone.
